CHILDREN’S

FOUNDATION OF LAS VEGAS

Across America – and here
in Clark County – all children deserve a home
with loving people to care for them.

SUCCESS

STORIES

Yovanna cried when she
was presented with her own
computer that will go with her
wherever she lives.

The Foundation’s History

Up until 2022, Children’s Foundation of LAS Vegas operated as the CASA Foundation. It was established in 1983 to promote and support the efforts of the Clark County Court Appointed Special Advocate Program. The CASA Foundation provided funding, volunteer recognition, program assistance, and public relations activities for the CASA program to recruit and train volunteers for the last 4 decades. For the past 20 years, the CASA Foundation of Las Vegas added to their mission to provide funds for foster children’s “unmet” needs. This includes tutoring, sports, music and art lessons, camps, travel for visits to extended family members, and all medical needs not met. The CASA Foundation of Las Vegas is committed to making a difference in the lives of children in foster care in Southern Nevada.

Special Needs Program

TUTORING

Thousands of children need tutoring in order to keep up with the often overwhelming challenge of today’s schools.

Arts & Music

Through the Arts and through Music, viciously-abused children are able to come out of their shells and express their emotions – to build their confidence and sense of self-worth.

Sports

Children thrive when they can engage in regular and healthy sports programs. They need a place to go where they can feel they belong, and programs that offers them an opportunity to excel.

Success Stories

Orin & Brenda

Orin and his sister Brenda came to Las Vegas from New Jersey when they were very young. Growing up in a fast paced city with parents struggling with drug addiction resulted in a number of stays at Child Haven and into the foster care system.

Yovanna

Yovanna was an excellent student entering her senior year of high school. The move to her new foster home meant taking the bus and doing a transfer to get to the closest library.

Corrina

At 18 she aged out of the foster care system and with her CASA by her side moved into an Independent Living arrangement with oversight from a Department of Family Services worker. She fell in love and had a beautiful baby daughter.
